Prisoners are writing every day with a simple request: to receive a Bible so that they can grow in their new commitment to Jesus Christ. I was just sitting here reading and wondering what it would be like to not have my Bible -my source of strength and understanding In a world that promises answers but in reality- has none.
I'm always blessed by the moments when scripture comes alive in my inmates." Look what I read this week!" Some will say excitedly. The look on the face of a previously hardened criminal when reading the word of God as it pertains to exactly what they are going through is something that is hard to put into words. I'm excited about what we are doing with Guiltybutforgiven, because I know we are providing a way for incarcerated men and women to read a 66 book love letter written just for them. someone does love them, and cares for them and they no longer have to go through this world alone.
